This is so exciting. I recently discovered blogland and had no idea I would ever break down and start one myself. Stubborn as I am, I thought I would never cave and follow the crowd, but here I am and here I go.
While most of the world is thinking of hot soup and bread, my brilliant gardening husband is thinking spring. He spends every evening perusing the seed catalogs that prolifically fill our mailbox almost daily. Planning, planning and planning some more. His garden has metamorphised from small beginnings to something truly beautiful that we are excited to share. We will soon post garden photos- the dead wasteland that you see will soon be teeming with luscious things to eat.... promise!
This year we are determined, having mastered the soil preparation (aged manure rocks!), the insect control (environmentally friendly of course), and the unpredictability of Sedona climes, to create an aesthetically pleasing and fully functional space. To date, the real challenge has always been survival. No more. This garden is going to blow all our previous gardens away. Wait, I better check the farmer's almanac before making such a bold assertion. We might have an inflated sense of confidence from the El Nino garden we enjoyed last summer. I'll check it out and get back to you....if you already know and have bad news for us, don't tell me. Let me dream a little!
